CONNECT AND COLLABORATE

To improve disaster relief response times and to ensure that Africa gets its share of the manufacturing market, Advance Aid will collaborate with the international aid community to stay abreast of their requirements, as well as working with a whole range of African manufacturers to ensure that they have the capability to produce the materials to the appropriate standards.

We don’t deploy these goods in the field and we have a different funding model to other aid organisations. So our total focus is on the procurement and supply chain issues required in ensuring that emergency goods are in the right place and in sufficient quantity in this complex market.

We work with donors, procurement specialists and African manufacturers to get funds, expertise and raw materials to African manufacturers so they can create the finished Survival Homes.

We work with African manufacturers, storage partners and logistics experts to preposition Survival Homes in five key hotspots that are close to the areas analysed as being at greatest risk of disaster and in greatest need of relief.

We work with disaster relief agencies who deploy Survival Homes through local quick response networks when disaster strikes. The cycle of re-funding and re-stocking repeats as necessary to ensure that aid is always ready where it’s needed, in advance of disasters.
