Advance Aid has been working with Dr David Taylor, Senior Research Fellow in the Logistics and Operations Management Department of Cardiff Business School on a project to evaluate and then improve the supply chain for Non Food Items (NFIs) supplied to the victims of emergencies and disasters.

Advance Aid has created Let the Light In, a new ecommerce site that allows people to purchase solar powered torches and lamps. And for every one that is purchased, one is donated to an African family that needs it.

David Dickie of Advance Aid spoke at the International Aid + Trade annual event held in Geneva. Aid + Trade is an international forum bringing together key stakeholders from the humanitarian sector worldwide.
